My skateboard design for ANOTHER DISPOSABLE ARTSHOW

My board design for ANOTHER DISPOSABLE ARTSHOW, a fundraiser for freeskates. I spent a lot of time on this one, painting the deck by hand with watercolour, acrylic and spray paint.
The show on Saturday was a huge success..My board was auctioned off as were a bunch of other beeeautiful deck designs. People got super creative with it. I'll be posting photos from the party as soon as I get them back.

Another Disposable Artshow

This week I've been busy painting a board for the show Another Disposable Art show @ 52 mcaul on May 8th. The lineup is crazy. So excited to be showing with the likes of Nathan Jurevicius, Derrick Hodgson and Nicholas Di Genova. I collected their art and owned their designer toys for years. eek! Come by if you're in town. guaranteed to be crazy fun art party.

Return of the Ankh

An illustration I just did of Erykah Badu for this month's issue of Exclaim magazine. Her Album "Return of the Ankh" just dropped!

spring's been sprung and the weather is heating. It's easter weekend and I'm on a train home to see family. A little decompression, free laundry and fridge raiding. MUCH NEEDED. There's been so much change in my life, lately. A little overwhelming in February is now a lot blessing in April. New house, studio makeover,a brand new park(with year long farmer's market!) BEST new coffee shop. promise of heat and art, vintage shoe shopping. Im looking forward to open windows over college st. lit candles, good books, digable planets on the stereo. sharing advice and loving life over wine on the patio. ART ART ART keeping me motivated and centered.

It's so springy outside! My roommate and I are moving April 1st and we are clearing our minds and our house of odds and ends. Free garage sale styles. It feels like new starts for us both. We are ready for hardwood and light through windows and decorating possibilities. Photos of the new space to come. in the mean time, look at this cheeky chickadee!
