Facts and Arguments

My illustration for the daily Facts and Arguments essay was published in The Friday, Sept 4th of the National newspaper, The Globe and Mail. Kapawi, Ecuador

ladies! gentleman! poodles! babies!

I am back from Ecuador and feeling re energized with artistic energy and love for how crazy this world is. I spent a 9 days in the Amazon rainforest at an eco lodge. I am a big bbc planet earth and blue planet geek and so I was ecstatic to see all that adaptation and symbiosis in action. I kayaked beside a pink river dolphin, almost touched a tarantula, fell asleep to tree frogs and woke up to parrots. I got bitten by a tropical bee, ate my weight in plantains, beans and fish and I met with elders in remote villages. I feel blessed for the experience! I decided to shoot film on my week abroad, instead of digital. An exercise in patience. once I get those puppies developed they will up on the blog. In the mean time check out the site of the lodge I was at. The service and the guides were amazing. I would recommend this trip to anyone and everyone who isnt looking for the four seasons experience when they travel. http://www.kapawi.com/

I just got back from shooting a wedding in the Dominican Republic. I'm not a resort-y kinda gal but turquoise waters, a pool side bar and a five star resort isnt something to complain about.I also snagged of my own photos in addition to the wedding pictures. some of my favorites below.

My friend Jude has recently opened SHOW AND TELL GALLERY, and while moseying around town on my bycicle, I decided to finally check out the Gallery's wares by dropping by their newest show GET OVER IT, with work by Steve Powers, Greg Gossel and Greg Lamarche. the show was pure design and painting bliss. Ive been hearing big things in magazines throughout North America about Greg Lamarche, and his work packed a punch in person. Yummy colours, collage, typography and graffiti inspired artwork.

FRIENDS + CREATIVES= HELLYA
