My friend Jude has recently opened SHOW AND TELL GALLERY, and while moseying around town on my bycicle, I decided to finally check out the Gallery's wares by dropping by their newest show GET OVER IT, with work by Steve Powers, Greg Gossel and Greg Lamarche. the show was pure design and painting bliss. Ive been hearing big things in magazines throughout North America about Greg Lamarche, and his work packed a punch in person. Yummy colours, collage, typography and graffiti inspired artwork.

FRIENDS + CREATIVES= HELLYA

Photographer(and best friend!) Sammy Rawal, our mutual friend Charlie Irani and I got together to work on a fashion creative. Charlie modeled, Sammy took pictures and I did Illustration post photo shoot. Here are a few of the images we've worked out so far.

Element Skateboards POWER TO THE PLANET campaign window display

I was just in Montreal this weekend, setting up a window display of my art at Underworld Skateboards on Rue. St. Catherines. The display was for Element Skateboard's POWER TO THE PLANET campaign. I decided to stick with the colour scheme of the campaign and pair it with a spring-y nature-y vibe. I love fun projects.

Her paintings of creepy cartoon children living in wasteland fairy tales are critical commentaries on the failures of capitalist utopias. Creative influences include Phillip K. Dick, William Burroughs, Henry Darger,Walt Disney, as welll as politically aware bands like The Clash and Dead Kennedys."

OH also, doesnt her work remind you of the crazy "other" mom in the stop motion animation CORALINE, which just came out. and which is also AWESOME. I saw it twice in theaters and would be down with seeing it again.
